The Weather will be nice!

The Czech floorball scene would be different and much more boring without Bohemians. Their home hall capacity is not more than 300, and yet they are establishing audience numbers records. Bohamians are not worried to take chances and use all the opportunities there are. And they are creative! Their last idea is pretty crazy, but it is necessary to applaud them for the courage they are showing. Floorball at Stvanice, unique and bold!

The Weather will be nice! Jakub Doubrava, the Marketing Manager of Bohemians, hope for at least 3 000 spectators coming to see the games at Stvanice. (Photo Czech TV/ archive FBS Bohemians)

When did you come up with the idea of the open air match?
Jakub Doubrava: The club’s president Martin Musil has had this dream in his head for a couple of years already. We have started planning and checking out if an event like this can really be done before the start of the last season. This year, in March, we have decided to go for it, to start the new season outside.

The biggest challenge is for sure the weather. Have you checked with official meteo… what does it look like?
We will check it continuously.

Do you have any “wet” option ready?
Yes, we do. But we don’t want to talk about it yet. The weather will be nice (smile).

What is the budget of the event?
Well, we will try to make it cheap and well, as always (smile).

Stvanice has a capacity of almost 7 000 seats. How many of those need to be filled to call the event a success?

It will look good if we will manage 3000 and more.

On the day of Superfinal, there are no other matches played. Have you discussed with the Prague floorball federation, not to have any other games played that day?
No, we didn’t. But we are in ouch with them and they are ready to help and support us.

What will the court look like? You wont play on concrete probably?
We are going to place the floorball surface and will have to make the field a bit smaller than usual.

How was your idea received by the tennis people at Stvanice?
There are not that many events anymore, so they looked at it as a cool challenge. We are regularly in touch and discuss all the organizational details. And there are many (smile).
